Every individual deserves the opportunity to build a meaningful, fulfilling life—regardless of their abilities or challenges.
For many autistic individuals and those with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities, the transition from childhood into adulthood brings significant uncertainty. As school-based services and childhood support systems come to an end, families are often left navigating limited resources, employment barriers, housing challenges, and an overwhelming lack of coordinated assistance.
At Faith in Action Foundation, we believe that support should not end when childhood does.
Our Autism & Special Needs Transition Initiative is being developed to bridge this critical gap by creating pathways toward independence, employment, community inclusion, and long-term stability.
Life Skills & Independent Living: Building practical skills for everyday life, personal responsibility, and greater independence.
Vocational Training & Employment: Developing workplace skills, identifying individual strengths, and connecting participants with meaningful employment opportunities.
Financial Literacy: Teaching money management, budgeting, and essential financial skills.
Supported Living Opportunities: Working toward accessible housing and supportive living arrangements tailored to individual needs.
Family Advocacy & Guidance: Helping families navigate the transition into adult services, benefits, and community resources.
Social Connection & Community Inclusion: Creating opportunities for friendship, recreation, belonging, and meaningful participation in society.
We envision a future where individuals with disabilities are not defined by their limitations but are empowered through their strengths, talents, interests, and potential.
Our goal is not to force every individual into the same definition of independence. It is to provide the tools, resources, accommodations, and support necessary for each person to achieve their own highest level of independence and quality of life.
Because every individual deserves more than simply getting by.
They deserve opportunity. They deserve purpose. They deserve to belong.
Faith in Action Foundation — Building Bridges to Brighter Futures.
They stood for us. Now it's our turn to stand beside them.
At Faith in Action Foundation, we believe that honoring our nation's veterans means more than expressing gratitude for their service. It means standing beside them through the challenges they may face long after their military service has ended.
For many veterans, the transition into civilian life brings challenges that are not always visible. Post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, physical disabilities, and difficulties rebuilding a sense of purpose can create barriers to emotional well-being and everyday life.
We recognize the powerful bond between humans and animals and the comfort, companionship, structure, and sense of connection that a devoted canine companion can provide.
One of our foundation's most meaningful initiatives is the donation and placement of obedience-trained Belgian Malinois puppies with veterans who may benefit from emotional support and companionship.
Through this initiative, we aim to provide veterans with more than a pet. We hope to create lasting partnerships built on trust, loyalty, responsibility, and unconditional companionship.
Each puppy will receive foundational obedience training and socialization before placement, with an emphasis on temperament, appropriate matching, and the needs of the receiving veteran.
Our program is intended to promote:
Emotional Companionship: Providing a consistent, comforting presence that may help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Routine & Purpose: Encouraging daily structure, responsibility, and meaningful engagement.
Connection & Trust: Fostering positive relationships through the human-animal bond.
Physical Activity & Engagement: Encouraging outdoor activity, exercise, and participation in daily life.
Confidence & Independence: Supporting veterans in rebuilding confidence and maintaining a sense of purpose.
Continued Support: Developing resources to help veterans establish healthy, lasting relationships with their canine companions.
Our belief is simple: Sometimes the most meaningful support comes with four paws, unwavering loyalty, and unconditional love.
Our vision extends beyond the initial placement of a puppy.
We aim to develop a responsible program that considers each veteran's individual circumstances, lifestyle, physical capabilities, and long-term ability to care for their canine companion.
Because Belgian Malinois are highly intelligent, energetic working dogs, appropriate placement, continued training, and responsible ownership are essential to successful partnerships.
We hope to collaborate with experienced trainers, veterinary professionals, and veteran support organizations to develop a program that prioritizes the welfare of both veterans and their dogs.
Our obedience-trained companion dogs are intended to provide emotional support and companionship. They are not represented as fully trained service dogs unless they have completed the individualized disability-related task training required for that designation.
Alongside our canine companionship program, Faith in Action Foundation seeks to develop partnerships and resources that address other challenges facing veterans, including:
Connections to veteran benefits and assistance programs
Employment readiness and vocational opportunities
Housing stability and community reintegration
Mental health and wellness resource referrals
Support for veterans living with disabilities
Community fellowship, mentorship, and peer connections
Our goal is to build a network of compassion and practical assistance that helps veterans regain stability, confidence, and a meaningful connection to their communities.
We understand that no single program can erase the hardships experienced by those who have served.
But we believe that genuine companionship, a renewed sense of purpose, and a supportive community can make a meaningful difference.
Through our Belgian Malinois Companion Placement Program, we hope to create partnerships that enrich the lives of both veterans and the dogs entrusted to their care.
They gave of themselves in service to others. We believe they deserve a community willing to give something back.

What others see as forgotten, we see as an opportunity for transformation.
Across our communities, countless buildings stand vacant, deteriorating, or underutilized, while individuals and families struggle to find safe housing, essential resources, and opportunities for independence.
Former schools, hospitals, commercial properties, and other unused facilities represent more than abandoned structures. They represent untapped potential to address some of our communities' most pressing challenges.
At Faith in Action Foundation, we believe that restoring these spaces can create opportunities to restore lives.
Our Community Restoration & Housing Initiative is a long-term effort to identify, acquire, and repurpose suitable properties into accessible housing, vocational training facilities, and community resource centers.
Through partnerships with property owners, local governments, businesses, charitable organizations, and community volunteers, we seek to transform unused facilities into functional spaces that meet real community needs.
1. Transitional & Supportive Housing
Developing safe, affordable, and accessible living environments for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, veterans facing housing instability, and adults with disabilities who may benefit from supported living arrangements.
2. Autism & Special Needs Independent Living
Creating opportunities for autistic adults and individuals with other developmental or physical disabilities to develop independent living skills in environments designed around their individual needs, abilities, and goals.
3. Vocational Training & Employment Opportunities
Establishing practical training spaces where participants can develop valuable skills in areas such as building maintenance, landscaping, woodworking, animal care, food preparation, and other vocational fields.
4. Community Resource & Education Centers
Repurposing facilities into welcoming community spaces offering educational programs, resource connections, life-skills instruction, volunteer opportunities, and charitable outreach.
5. Community Participation & Shared Responsibility
Encouraging residents and program participants who are willing and able to contribute to appropriate community projects, maintenance activities, gardening, and neighborhood improvement efforts.
Participation would be voluntary, accessible, and based on each individual's abilities and circumstances.
We believe meaningful restoration requires more than temporary solutions.
Our long-term approach is centered on developing projects that are financially responsible, environmentally conscious, and capable of providing lasting community benefits.
Potential strategies include:
Seeking donations or affordable transfers of unused properties.
Establishing partnerships with municipalities, property owners, businesses, and charitable organizations.
Pursuing grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic funding for renovation and program development.
Incorporating accessibility improvements and adaptive design.
Creating educational and vocational opportunities through appropriate restoration projects.
Developing sustainable maintenance and operational plans that support long-term success.
Each potential property would be evaluated for safety, structural condition, accessibility, zoning, financial feasibility, and suitability for its intended charitable purpose.
A vacant building can become a home.
An abandoned classroom can become a vocational training center.
An unused commercial property can become a place where someone learns the skills needed for employment and independence.
A forgotten community space can become a gathering place where individuals find support, encouragement, and a renewed sense of belonging.
We believe the greatest restoration does not happen within the walls of a building. It happens within the lives of the people those walls are restored to serve.
Faith in Action Foundation is actively developing the organizational framework, fundraising strategies, and partnerships necessary to pursue these long-term restoration initiatives.
Individual projects will depend on suitable property opportunities, available funding, community partnerships, and applicable approvals
Stronger People. Stronger Communities. A Brighter Tomorrow.
Race 4 Redemption is a community-centered fundraising and outreach initiative created by Faith in Action Foundation to bring people together through compassion, unity, service, and shared purpose.
This is not your traditional race.
There are no expectations of athletic ability, no pressure to compete, and no requirement to cross the finish line first.
Our goal is not to see who finishes first. Our goal is to ensure that no one is left behind.
Race 4 Redemption welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to walk, run, roll, volunteer, or simply come together in fellowship.
Whether you are a parent pushing a stroller, a veteran navigating life after service, an individual with autism or another disability, a senior citizen, or someone experiencing personal hardship, you have a place here.
We believe every person has value, every life has purpose, and every individual deserves the opportunity to participate in something meaningful.
Race 4 Redemption was founded on a simple belief:
Faith is not merely something we profess. It is something we live through our actions toward others.
Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, our mission is to demonstrate unconditional love, acceptance, compassion, and service through meaningful community involvement.
We believe stronger communities are built when people stop focusing on their differences and begin recognizing their shared humanity.
Race 4 Redemption is designed to create an environment where neighbors become friends, strangers become supporters, and individuals who often feel overlooked are reminded that they belong.
Our events aim to promote:
Community unity and meaningful connection
Inclusion of individuals with autism and other disabilities
Support and recognition for military veterans and retired law enforcement
Compassionate outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness or hardship
Awareness of community resources and opportunities
Healthy living, encouragement, and personal well-being
Volunteerism, charitable giving, and service to others
Faith-centered fellowship, hope, and spiritual encouragement
Race 4 Redemption is intentionally designed as an inclusive, noncompetitive event.
Participation is not measured by speed, distance, physical ability, or athletic achievement.
We want individuals and families to feel comfortable joining at their own pace and in whatever capacity works best for them.
Our event planning prioritizes accessibility and reasonable accommodations for:
Individuals with autism and sensory sensitivities
Children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities
Wheelchair and mobility-device users
Military veterans
Senior citizens
Families with young children
Individuals who may not be physically able to participate in the course
Accessible participation options, rest areas, sensory considerations, and volunteer assistance will be incorporated wherever feasible based on the event location and available resources.
You do not have to run to be part of the race. You simply have to show up with a willingness to be part of something greater than yourself.
Race 4 Redemption is envisioned as a community gathering that offers much more than a walk or run.
Alongside the event, we aim to bring together local organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community advocates to provide information, encouragement, and practical resources.
Information about available community services, disability support, veteran resources, family assistance, employment opportunities, and local charitable programs.
Educational information encouraging healthy lifestyles, nutrition awareness, physical well-being, and access to community health resources.
Opportunities to learn about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
