Turning Compassion Into Action. Restoring Hope. Building Futures.
Faith in Action Foundation is a Louisiana-based nonprofit organization founded on the belief that faith is not merely something we profess, but something we demonstrate through love, compassion, service, and action.
Our mission is to empower individuals, strengthen families, and restore communities by creating opportunities for independence, dignity, stability, and belonging.
Our primary focus is supporting autistic individuals and people with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities as they transition into adulthood, alongside veterans facing challenges related to disability, employment, housing, and reintegration into civilian life.
Through advocacy, education, vocational development, community partnerships, and charitable outreach, we seek to bridge the gaps that leave vulnerable individuals and families without adequate resources or support.
We believe that every person, regardless of ability, background, circumstance, or financial standing, deserves to be seen, valued, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Faith in Action Foundation was established to transform a simple but powerful principle into meaningful community service:
Love your neighbor as yourself.
We believe that true faith is demonstrated through the way we treat others—not only through words or religious practices, but through our willingness to feed the hungry, shelter those in need, care for the vulnerable, and extend compassion without judgment.
Our foundation embraces the example of Jesus Christ, whose teachings emphasized love, mercy, humility, service, and care for those often overlooked by society.
Although our foundation is rooted in Christian principles, our commitment to serving others extends to everyone, regardless of religious belief, disability, race, background, or personal circumstances.
We believe that compassion should never come with conditions.
Too many individuals and families face challenges that existing support systems fail to adequately address.
For families raising children with autism and other disabilities, the transition into adulthood can bring uncertainty about employment, independent living, housing, transportation, and access to meaningful community opportunities.
Veterans who have dedicated themselves to serving others may encounter significant barriers when returning to civilian life, particularly when navigating disabilities, financial hardship, unemployment, or housing instability.
Meanwhile, communities continue to struggle with homelessness, food insecurity, underutilized buildings, and limited access to essential resources.
Faith in Action Foundation exists to help bridge these gaps.
We believe that people should not have to face life's greatest challenges alone.
Rather than focusing solely on temporary assistance, our vision emphasizes practical solutions that create lasting independence, opportunity, and community connection.
We envision communities where:
Individuals with autism and other disabilities have meaningful opportunities to transition into adulthood with confidence, independence, and appropriate support.
Veterans have access to resources, opportunities, and community networks that honor their service and support their well-being.
Vacant and underutilized properties can be transformed into accessible housing, training facilities, and community resource centers.
Families facing hardship can access compassionate assistance without shame or judgment.
Businesses, faith communities, volunteers, and local organizations work together to create sustainable solutions.
Every individual has the opportunity to contribute their unique gifts, abilities, and experiences to the community.
Our long-term vision is to develop a network of community-based resources that encourages independence, mutual support, and lasting restoration.
Faith Through Action
We believe faith is most meaningful when demonstrated through service, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
Dignity for Every Individual
Every person possesses inherent worth and deserves respect, acceptance, and opportunities for personal growth.
Inclusion Without Conditions
Our commitment to serving others is not limited by religion, disability, background, or financial circumstances.
Empowerment Through Opportunity
We strive to move beyond temporary assistance by creating pathways toward independence, employment, education, and stability.
Community Through Unity
Lasting change requires cooperation among individuals, families, businesses, churches, organizations, and community leaders.
Responsible Stewardship
We are committed to accountability, transparency, and the responsible use of resources entrusted to our organization.
Faith in Action Foundation is developing its programs through community partnerships, fundraising, volunteer involvement, and strategic planning.
Our efforts are centered on creating sustainable initiatives that respond to genuine community needs and produce meaningful, measurable outcomes.
We recognize that lasting change requires patience, collaboration, dedication, and the willingness to work alongside those we serve.
Our purpose is not simply to provide charity.
It is to restore dignity, cultivate opportunity, strengthen independence, and remind people that they are not forgotten.
We believe the world changes when people stop waiting for someone else to make a difference and begin working together to become that difference.
One act of compassion can restore hope.
One opportunity can transform a life.
And one united community can create change that lasts for generations.
